The first single at radio now from Oceans of Kansas, “Okoboji,” is a sly, feel-good, free-spirited celebration of sun, water, and the uninhibited joy of letting your guard down among friends, recalling a teenage trip to the titular city along the Iowa Great Lakes. “I was taken by the fresh breezes, the sounds of laughter and water, and I was in love, so it made an impression,” Vakili recalls.
